Hiring a vet or pet-care pro for a military move
Pets PCS too — and a move means new vet records, health certificates for travel or overseas moves, and finding someone you trust with the family dog or cat in a town you just landed in. A good local vet or pet-care pro handles the transfer of care, the move-related paperwork, and boarding or sitting during house-hunting and the move itself. We vet providers for licensing and references. Why vetted matters: a move is hard on animals, travel and OCONUS rules have real deadlines, and being new in town is exactly when you don't want to gamble on who's caring for a pet — a vetted introduction means your animals are in good hands from day one.
